Destination Unknown - Dj Pandaj's second album for No.Mad Records - is inspired by horror movie soundtracks of the '30s and 40s. A feast of film quotations, used with style and originality. A sound trip where you can meet Piero Umiliani and Morricone, jazz and free jazz, pop, dub and dub-step, then the sounds of an 'electronic daughter of the late '90s and then strand Ninja Tune, the best solutions to turn to the Bristolian trip-hop. Virtuously, Pandaj DJ manages to fuse all these influences in a logical, uncompromising, muddy, hard and stable structure, but at the same time fragile and clear. A small diamond hidden inside an enormous mass of rough rock. The album was written by Pandaj and artistically produced and mixed by Ezra at No.Mad Studio in Turin (home of No.Mad Records). It makes use of great guests as L’Aura, Saturnino, the Mc Ardimann, Frankie Hi -Nrg, Ghemon, Z. Gabaglio, Vaitea and Acusmatic Group, Cato (The Bluebeaters), Cecio (Mr. T-Bone), Henphy (Soulful Orchestra), A. Libretti, and Suz. Mastered by Domenico Graziano at No.Mad Studio.
