“Solo” is Ezraʼs second album following the release of "In Grembo" (Royality Records 2005). An album that marks a decisive turning point in Ezraʼs approach to music. Compared to his previous work, much more electronic oriented and instrumental, “Solo” is an album of songs that sway between a multitude of genres. From the blues of “Black Block Blues” and “Mannish Boy”ʼs cover version (Muddy Waterʼs legendary track) to the dub of “I Canʼt Come Back Home”, from the new wave of “100 Kinds Of Me” to the pop of “Sadness”, definitions seem to become superfluous and elusive in a mix of electronic and acoustic parts that always see the songs in the main frame rather than the "sound" or the “genre”. In the studio Ezra himself takes care and follows all the path to the production of this record, from the songwriting to the final production through recording and mixing. For “Solo” he availed himself of the collaboration of some Turin musicians including Paolo Spaccamonti (guitarist, who recently released his first album: “Undici pezzi facili”), Marco Alonzo e Davide Compagnoni (both drummers, the first one cofounder with Ezra of No.Mad Studio, the second one already playing with Stearica and Namb), Marco Piccirillo (Bass), Paola Secci (cello), Mc Victor (LN Ripleyʼs singer), Cecio (Sax for Mr. T-Bone and Africa Unite) and Stefano Danusso ( Deian e lʼ Orsoglabroʼs former bass player).
